My skincare routine

beauty and fashion, Random

I have really dry skin since I was a little child. Throughout the years my skin got a lot better but it’s still not amazing so I am always on the hunt for some good products. A few years ago I couldn’t use powder or foundation because my skin was so dry that when I applied it you immediately saw my dry patches.

I found some amazing products and things that help me and my skin and I thought it would be quiet nice to share them with you. If you have any great tips or recommendations be sure to leave them in the comments below.

Dermasence

Until my last years of school I used a basic face cream from my local DM (like Superdrug). It wasn’t the best thing for my face but also not the worst so I just went with it. When I was younger I couldn’t use any creams which included perfume because it burned so much because I had so many dry patches. Same went for my face so I couldn’t try as many products.

I started watching YouTube and one of the youtubers I watched at the time recommended this brand called ‘Dermasence’. She said that it’s really got for her dry skin and I asked my mum if I could try it. This was probably the best decision ever because my mum and I love their products so so much now.

We ordered the face wash, the tonic and a face cream. I tried the products and immediately fell in love with them. Washing my face with this and applying a tonic afterwards really helped my skin. It became a lot juicer and so much nicer. But it wasn’t over yet.

Face masks

Something that really helped my face were face masks. I still use a face masks every couple of days and I can’t even tell you how much of a difference these make. I love using my face masks so much. There’s a face mask for anything now and I love trying new ones.

I still have dry skin but not as bad as I used to, although in winter my skin still is really bad and dry. That’s just something I can’t change but these products really help me with it. But of course dry skin isn’t the only problem I have, spots and impure skin. Again, face masks can do wonders but I also discovered something amazing which really helps me with both, dry and spotty skin.

Face cleanser thing-y

I don’t know how you call this but my mum bough this electric brush a few months ago and about a month ago I started using it. It’s a brush for your skin and I can’t tell you how much of a difference using this makes. It is amazing and washing your face is so much more fun with this thing.

I start by using my garnier skinactive face wash/peeling/mask with the hardest brush out of this set. When I have a lot of spots I use this gel afterwards from Dermasence. Then I apply my face foam on the softest brush.

After that I apply my tonic and face cream and I am good to go. I really love my skincare routine. It’s so much fun to do and I am so happy with my products.

  1. While our skin is so unique and everyone’s skincare routine is different, I love reading about what people do and the different products they swear by. I to love my brush (I call it a Clarisonic because that is the brand that makes mine:) it was seriously life changing for my face. I also use the skincare line called Murad and it is amazing! ❤

  2. My skin is VERY sensitive in the winter and I dont know why but there is always one day where I wake up with my skin being all cracked! Than it doesnt recover until like May of the next year. My mom uses a lotion that a friend gave to us and it sometimes really works. But my skin is always for half the year like this 🙂

  4. I have really dry skin & have always suffered with blackheads etc,. However, since I’ve been using GoodThings blackhead exfoliator and a gentle cleanser my skin is really good even in winter and I use a serum which goes deeper than a moisturiser a really good one is from the body shop! Love the post I really know the struggle ☺️💕
