The most amazing pink slippers | Glücksgeist

beauty and fashion, life, Random

I am a huge Beauty and the Beast lover. This movie was one of my favourite films when I was a child and to this day I still watch it. A few weeks ago my friend and I checked out the new Primark they opened in my town and they had some amazing Disney things, including the most amazing pink slippers.

I gasped quite a little bit when I saw these. My mum saw them before and said I should really check this Primark out and she was so right. To be honest I could have bought so so many more things, but I said I am buying three things and I stuck to that.

I absolutely adore the colour pink, so Beauty and the Beast and pink combined is just more than amazing. I love Chip and Madame Pottine so so much so I just had to get these slippers. They cost 5 Euros which is fine and they are super soft and nice to wear. The only thing I recommend is buying a size smaller because these slippers stretch with the time.

What do you think of my new pink slippers? Let me know in the comments below and tell me which was the last thing you bought at Primark.

My night-time skincare routine 2018 | Glücksgeist

beauty and fashion, life, Random

A new year screams for a new skincare routine, am I right? I love to read these posts because I think it’s so interesting to see someone’s day to day evening circle. Today I am going to share my night-time routine with you, focused on my skincare.

1 First of all I take all my eye make up and lipstick off with my beloved micellar water by nivea. I am using this for years now and I am super happy with it. It is really nice and gently to my skin and that’s all I want. There’s nothing worse than having to rub off your make up like crazy.

2 Secondly I wash my face with the Dermasence face cleanser mousse. This product is amazing and super gently to my skin. Again, I am using this for years now and I can’t be happier with it. I highly recommend checking this one out.

3 If I have a little bit more time and I am not that tired I love to do a face mask. At the moment I use a mixture of a black peel off mask and this mask by Dermasence which is amazing. If you struggle with red irritated skin I would try this product.

4 After 15 minutes to half an hour I wash my mask off, again with my Dermasence face mousse. After that I take a cotton pad and add some of my Dermasence tonic water onto it. I rub it all over my face and it’s the most refreshing thing ever. If I skip my face mask this product is also amazing because it takes the remaining make up off.

5 Now it’s time for moisturizer. I use the cream soft/rich moisturizer by Dermasence and it’s one of my favourite products. I can’t imagine not using it anymore because it is that amazing. Sometimes I use a face serum instead of a moisturizer but because I am struggling with really dry skin at the moment a moisturizer is a must.

And that’s my night-time skincare. As always let me know what you think of this post in the comments below.

Vegan Carrot cake | Glücksgeist

baking, Random

I love to bake. To me it’s one of the best things you can do. I also love to try out new recipes and I don’t know why but I’ve been on a little vegan baking trip lately. I love to share new recipes with you, so let’s start with the carrot cake.

Processed with VSCO with preset

You will need:

  • 200 grams of flour
  • 180 grams of brown sugar
  • 8 grams vanilla sugar
  • 1 tsp baking powder
  • 1 tsp cinnamon (if you don’t like cinnamon leave it out)
  • 1/2 tsp of salt
  • 75 grams shredded carrots
  • 200 grams plant based yoghurt (I cheated and used regular yoghurt)
  • 100 ml coconut oil

Add all the dry ingredients into a bowl and mix until well combined. Then add all your wet ingredients to a second bowl and mix until well combined. Add the wet mixture into the dry and mix until well combined.

Bake the cake for 40 minutes at 180 degrees Celsius. You can add shredded carrots on top of the cake if you want, or any decorations of your choice. I went for powdered sugar.

Easy and quick Gift idea | Glücksgeist

#diy, baking, Random

Christmas was just around the corner, but there are still more things to celebrate like birthdays. You can’t run out of gift ideas, so I thought I share a simple but super nice one with you today. I made this for my friend for Christmas and she absolutely loved it.

All you need for this is a jar of your choice and a recipe, I went for a cake recipe. As I said it’s super simple. You break your recipe apart and add all the dry ingredients into your mason jar. Then you add a little note with what the person has to add and how long they have to bake the cake or whatever you go for. How amazing and simple is this gift idea?

I absolutely love it! If you don’t know what recipe you should go for I have a little one for you prepared.

What you have to add to the jar:

  • 180 grams of flour
  • 80 grams of cocoa powder
  • 1 and a half tsp baking soda (German: Natron)
  • 1/2 tsp cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp salt
  • 270 grams of sugar
  • 140 grams of brown sugar
  • 2 packages of vanilla sugar

What the person has to add to it to get a delicious cake:

  • 4 eggs
  • 80 ml water
  • 240 grams of sour cream
  • 60 ml vegetable oil

Combine all the dry ingredients in a bowl. Then take a separate bowl and add the wet ingredients to it. Mix until well combine. Add the wet mixture into the dry and mix until well combined. Bake the cake or the 24 muffins at 160 degrees Celsius for 35 to 40 minutes (muffins: 18-20 minutes).

How amazing is this present? I absolutely love it. As always let me know what you think of it in the comments below.
