Proud to be a … |Glücksgeist

I am a huge Harry Potter fan. I love the world J.K.Rowling created and I re-read the books on a regular basis. Although I read the books multiple times already, I’ve never read them in English before. I own two books in English, but what made me really want to start reading them in English was the Sorting Quiz on pottermore.

They changed this quiz quite a lot over the past years and I really wanted to do it properly this time and not guess the right answers for the house I wanted to be in. Long story short I am proud to be a HUFFLEPUFF (currently wearing a yellow jumper, so I identified with my house quite quickly). I never had something against this house but now I totally fell in love with it.

I read so many things about the Hufflepuff common room, their students and house teacher and I really think this is my house. They have loads of cacti in their common room, I mean, not obsessed with them at all ;). I also really like the description of a Hufflepuff, Hufflepuffs value hard work, patience, loyalty, and fair play. I mean that sounds pretty good to me and describes me pretty good as well. I also love Newt Scamandar and he’s a Hufflepuff so this is just really cool.

I knew my real house now and watched by far too many of Cherry Walli’s videos on Youtube (love her so much). In one of them she shared her 20 years anniversary Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s stone Gryffindor edition book and I needed to get my own one. Of course I went for the Hufflepuff edition and it’s just the best thing ever!

It’s completely yellow and has some amazing facts about my house inside it. There’s also a little Harry Potter quiz inside the book which was so much fun to do. Also reading the books in English for the first time was like reading them for the first time which is just the best feeling ever. I always wish I could read a book again without knowing the story and get excited for it again, so this was pretty cool.

What’s your Hogwarts house? Let me know in the comments below.

I am also so excited to get the Chamber of Secrets in Summer too.

Love, x

  1. Funny thing is my brother insists he is NOT a Hufflepuff. He insists he IS a Gryffindor but fair play definitely describes my brother. I am a Ravenclaw at heart. Hufflepuff is not a bad house, but according to my brother they are “boring”. Haha.

  2. I’m in Ravenclaw 🙂 it’s great you’re reading Harry Potter in English 🙂 I read Harry Potter and the Philosophers Stone in German while I was studying 🙂 it was a really good way to learn the other language 🙂

  3. A HUGE Harry Potter fan too!!! Btw I’m Gryffindor and I think Hufflepuff is cool in there own way!
Let me be honest here, I thought Hufflepuff was boring but after I was in the fandom and I had nothing left to read about my own house I started reading about other houses and Hufflepuff turned out to be really cute! xx
